You will usually need to be at least 17 years old. In some cases, if you have a disability you can learn at 16 years old. Our driving lessons for beginners course are great for getting started once you’re at the required age.
Firstly in normal circumstances you can apply for your provisional licence 6 months before you turn 17 years old. If you have a disability you may be able to get a licence at 16 years old. You can apply for a licence at the DVLA – Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency online
